CROWN:

A faceted gemstone or diamond can be divided into upper an lower sections. The upper section or top is the crown. The lower section is the pavilion. The perimeter where both parts meet is referred to as a girdle. The flat plane on top of the stone is called the table, and the bottom point is the culet.
