What Is A Lab Grown Diamond?
A lab grown diamond, also known as cultured diamond, is an exact replication of a mined diamond in highly
controlled laboratory environment. The
process involves placing a carbon seed, the central element of a natural diamond,
into a growth chamber, and adding layers on it to grow a rough diamond until it becomes a diamond crystal.
That’s when it’s ready for cutting and polishing by expert diamond cutters, just like a mined diamond.
Our extensive selection of grown diamonds are produced by utilizing High Pressure-High Temperature and
Chemical Vapor Deposition processes. With minimal carbon footprint, they are the eco-conscious choice without the compromise.
The technology allows the lab-grown diamond to be so pure that only 1-2% of mined diamonds have the same purity level.
This is called a Type IIa diamond. Type IIa diamonds are extremely rare and valuable, and are almost or completely free of impurities.
Our lab-grown colorless and pink diamonds are all classified Type IIa!
Lab Grown Diamonds vs Mined Diamonds
Lab grown diamonds have exact same chemical composition and look of mined diamonds. With a more reasonable
pricing and high purity level,
a lab grown diamond is the ultimate alternative to a mined diamond for eco-conscious customers.
The hard to get Type IIa pure diamonds are now within your reach for an affordable price.
Lab Grown Diamonds vs Diamond Simulants
Unlike diamond stimulants, lab grown diamonds are the real deal! Diamond stimulants like moissanite and cubic
zirconia try to duplicate the look of a diamond,
but they don’t have the same density, hardness, or refractive index value. A lab grown diamond, on the other
hand, is a diamond in every aspect, with an eco-conscious and sustainable story.
Certified
Lab grown diamonds are not only identical to mined diamonds, they also come with a certification by an
independent grading lab showing 4Cs,
just like a mined diamond. 0.25ct and larger grown diamonds are also laser inscribed on the girdle with
certification number.
